About James Jimbo Murray

My name is James (Jimbo) Murray and I am a worshiping artist from New York City, praising and glorifying God through the artistic expression of dance. I am an Arts Administrator, formerly with the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation and the School of the Arts at SUNY Purchase College. I am currently a Manager & Choreographer for the Dance Ministry Institute (DMI).

Though exposed to dance at an early age, it wasn't until the age of eighteen that I began my dance training. I graduated from Long Island University - Brooklyn in 2014, were I double-majored in Business Management and Marketing, with a minor in Dance. In 2022, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Fine Art in Dance from University of California, Irvine.
